"Directions" program
- Expanding clinical care
- Diversity of Parkinson's communities nationwide
- Expanding the variety of sports activities
- Mental support for contestants and their families
The goal of the Directions program: to enable and assist each participant to act and achieve an optimal quality of life by strengthening the body and mind and connecting to a supportive community.
The Contestant's Journey: It starts with a Parkinson's diagnosis by a neurologist/family doctor, continues with strict adherence to medication when necessary, and continues with maintaining a continuous physical activity routine. We recommend that you join a supportive community of your choice – a community of veterans, young people, or a community active in physical activity groups such as dance, swimming, table tennis, and more. To benefit from a subsidized package of directions, you must register as a member of the Parkinson's Association in Israel.
