Ruti Aharonov

Hi, I'm Ruthie. Hard to believe but very soon I will be 80 years old. Mother of 3, grandmother of 5 lovely grandchildren.

I am full of curiosity and joy of life, despite the Parkinson's that joined my life about five years ago. It wasn't like that at first. Following the diagnosis, I was filled with feelings of fear and apprehension about what was expected of me in the future. These difficult feelings faded with the passage of time and adaptation to the new reality. When I was given the opportunity, I joined the group of mentors to help newly diagnosed people deal with the gospel. To this human meeting I bring my professional experience as someone who has worked in education, as a consultant and a personal trainer and above all the desire to support and help. In these meetings with the trainees, the new contestants, I contribute to them and no less than that I feel contributed.

I believe that there is great significance in receiving support that will help shape a full life, despite Parkinson's.
