Parkint classes and instructors - explanation of the different classes to choose from

Fitness Training?? I am.. ?"

It's true, it's not always easy to exercise when you have Parkinson's, although we are all aware of the close and proven connection between improving fitness through regular and appropriate physical activity and reducing the signs of the disease and improving daily functioning. In training, we will learn together and practice effective, simple and fun fitness exercises with techniques specially adapted for Parkinson's patients at all levels, and which can be performed by yourself in your home environment. As part of the training, we will combine strength exercises to strengthen the muscles, balance, aerobic fitness, flexibility and posture and help to improve the stability and mobility of the body. The training will be carried out by different facilitators and will include practice accessories such as a pillow, rubber band, weights, ball and more.

My name is Neta Naaman Lewinhoff - sports therapist (Wingate Institute), rehabilitation fitness trainer and Pilates instructor. Over 20 years of experience as a fitness instructor and rehabilitation coach in rehabilitation centers such as Ilan-Spivak, Beit HaLochem and private physical therapy institutes. In recent years I have focused on working with people dealing with Parkinson's at different stages of the disease and with exercisers with diverse neurological and orthopedic problems.

Gaga/seated classes are available to a wide range of people for whom standing physical training is challenging. The rate is adjusted For people dealing with situations such as illness or injury that manifest in physical disability. The class offers a physical study The one who recognizes disability while emphasizing the healing abilities, the potential for strengthening, and the pleasure of movement. Using Gaga, we develop and strengthen dormant areas of the body and offer solutions for temporary or permanent weaknesses. Gaga is a movement language developed by Ohad Naharin. Gaga offers participants a framework to connect with their bodies and their imaginations, experience sensations and emotions, improve flexibility and experience the pleasure of movement in an inviting and enabling environment.

Gaga contributes to the health of body and mind and enables access to all our abilities. It develops awareness of sensations, helps to strengthen the body and heal it, contributes to agility and bursting power, enhances vitality and alertness, releases tension and enables quality presence. In order to strengthen the body and mind, especially during this period, Gaga offers online classes. The classes have been held since March every day, connecting thousands of people from around the world.

Our participants are grateful for the opportunity to participate in Gaga classes from their living room, and say that even in the virtual format, the shared Gaga experience is very significant, and even "life-saving" for some of them. In these times, when most people are at home, the digital platform through which we allow them to connect to the body and keep moving, along with hundreds of other people from around the world, is a wonderful solution that dramatically improves the quality of life and mental health.

Ado Lauper, chairman of the Israeli Association for Martial Arts Therapy, certified therapist by the Wingate Institute, Tai Chi and Aikido instructor - certified according to the Sports Law. Developer of the "good fall" method - to prevent fractures from falls and maintain independence for seniors. Following his father's fall, since 2014 he has been focusing on improving the quality of life of the elderly by preventing fractures from falling and maintaining their independence. He has extensive experience in training and guiding Parkinson's patients and adapting the exercises to their abilities.

Tai Chi has been proven in dozens of studies to be a very effective activity for alleviating the symptoms of Parkinson's disease. This is due to the slow and precise movement, which has a full and peaceful flow, with an emphasis on transferring precise weight from leg to leg.

The uniqueness of the study in this class is the focus on the benefit that the practice gives after the training, and not on the Tai Chi practice itself.

The goals for the lesson for you:

  • You will learn to release your body
  • Walk more safely with less foot dragging
  • Increase your range of motion again
  • Improve your posture
  • Strengthen your balance
  • Flex your joints
  • breathe better
  • Reduce anxiety and sleep better

During the lesson we will add to the Tai Chi learning exercises to practice the topics:

  • Strategies to prevent an incipient fall
  • Freeing stiff limbs
  • Improving balance
  • Strengthening the core muscles
  • Improving posture

Ronit Verdi, Kundalini Yoga teacher and qualified physiotherapist. Holistic therapist with a variety of methods

Kundalini yoga is the yoga of awareness. Yoga built for every person who wants to feel better, be happier and healthier. No need to be particularly flexible or strong. Start where you are today, and progress from there. Yoga teaches us to connect the body with the mind and spirit. to be whole. to function at our full potential. Sometimes when one part becomes difficult, another part can come to the rescue, and thus it is possible to strengthen and function in different and varied ways. In practice we will work on the nervous system, the hormonal system, the respiratory system, the digestive system and the entire skeleton. Each lesson will focus on a different topic. Sometimes the issues are more physical, such as spine flexibility, improving breathing or strengthening the immune system. Sometimes we will focus on other topics related to acceptance, forgiveness, healing and love. All this is done with moderate physical work, with everyone working at their own pace, according to their ability, while combining flexibility, strengthening, breathing, using the voice (mantra) and relaxation.

Everyone in their home is welcome to find a comfortable, quiet and ventilated place. You need a yoga mat (or any mat), a pillow and maybe a blanket to cover yourself in relaxation. And from here - you are invited to let yourself surrender to the experience!

Yours in love,
Satnam,
Ronit

Physiotherapy for people with Parkinson's

Movement is a central treatment in dealing with Parkinson's disease. This is exactly the reason to join us for group practice regularly.

The practice will focus each time on several important elements: flexibility, balance, muscle strength, combination of movements, specific movements for those diagnosed with Parkinson's, relaxation and stretching.

To offer variety, in each workout we use exercise equipment such as: a stick, a ball, a mat for practicing on the floor, weights, etc. If you do not have the required equipment, alternative exercises will be offered without accessories.

Pilates training (controllogy) is a practice method for controlling and harmonizing the mind and spirit, which helps the body to be balanced, in a correct posture, with correct mobility while using the body's energy correctly.

The method challenges the body and lifts the mood and above all - improves the ability of the trainees to function on a daily basis!

The principles of the method are precisely suited to the movement needs of those dealing with Parkinson's, who need balanced, controlled and synchronized movement with breathing, and in full ranges.

The method combines breathing control, coordination between body systems, concentration, movement control, movement flow and physical element. All of these drain to allow movement and flexibility even in day-to-day functioning.

My name is Naama Ezra, I have a bachelor's degree in occupational therapy, from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.

Rehabilitative Pilates instructor/ for the elderly.

She has a lot of experience in neurological rehabilitation and in situations of functional decline.

I took part in the establishment of the rehabilitation program of "Ezra La Marfa" in the project of rehabilitation of Parkinson's patients, under the guidance of groups in occupational therapy.

Today she works in a rehabilitation center, in home rehabilitation and in private settings in neurological rehabilitation, in occupational therapy or rehabilitation Pilates training. He also teaches Pilates groups for seniors.

The combination of occupational therapy and pilates allows for the use of movement variety to improve daily functions and is an important element in enriching the daily routine and disease management.

Closed group lessons:

The method challenges the body and elevates the mood, and most importantly - improves the ability of the trainees to function effectively on a daily basis.

In a regular group, we can go through a process of conscious and unconscious motor learning. For the sake of motor learning, many and consistent repetitions are necessary.

Learning to control movement and increase physical awareness requires regular and evolving training.

Above all, in the regular and intimate group we can refer to the elements of daily functioning in each class and learn movement that facilitates functioning.

Certified Feldenkrais teacher, completed an international teacher's course under the guidance of Hava Shalhav, Tel Aviv 2003.

For about twenty years she has been guiding groups using the Feldenkrais method in various kibbutzim in the Jordan Valley, the south of the Golan Heights and Hami Tiberias. Provides individual treatments using the Feldenkrais method in a private clinic.

She has experience in guiding group classes for Parkinson's patients in Tiberias, in the last two years.

The Feldenkrais method helps to expand the range of motion through a variety of small and slow actions. Everyone works according to their ability. During the class, there is a noticeable relief in the feeling of carrying the body's weight, breathing, balance and the general feeling.

The class is conducted lying down. You should organize in advance with a mattress and pillow, on a rug or blanket for maximum comfort. It is recommended to wear comfortable clothing for the activity. It is possible to be helped in moving to the mattress and getting up from the mattress, by a partner, or a caregiver.

Around the world, the treatment of movement and dance has become one of the prominent methods for alleviating the symptoms of Parkinson's disease.
With the help of Latin and ballroom dances, we focus on both motor skills such as posture, balance and flexibility as well as cognitive and communication skills such as memory, coordination and use of body language.
In the group setting, we will offer the participants to enjoy essential movement, maximize physical abilities and focus on the positive rather than the negative.

My name is Roni Peled and I handle traffic:
BA in Behavioral Science and MA in Movement Therapy (Lesley University).
For many years I worked as a ballroom and Latin dance teacher.
For the past ten years I have been working with people dealing with Parkinson's and combining the two fields together.
Today I coordinate the field of movement therapy for Parkinson's at the Ichilov Hospital, in addition to an independent framework that offers several private groups in the central area.
