The Parkinson's Association in Israel was established in 1993 with the aim of helping patients and their families
in dealing with the difficulties of the disease.
The association is an information center for patients and organizes meetings, lectures, seminars for its members,
Excursions and varied physical activities are very essential for maintaining their function.
Alongside the association is an advisory committee of doctors, made up of the best neurologists in Israel. Every year the association holds a BSPD - BrainStorm Parkinson disease conference where neurologists meet
Specialists in movement disorders, with the best Parkinson's researchers in Israel to formulate an annual action plan
in the research and clinical aspect.
The association will not remain silent and will continue to strive to find a research breakthrough that will lead to a cure for the disease because "from Zion shall come Torah".
The members of the association's management and its activists all perform their duties voluntarily and without receiving a salary.
The association is greatly appreciated for its activities and in 2002 it was awarded the volunteer badge by the president.

The association's activities are mostly financed by donations, which are recognized for tax purposes according to section 46 of the Income Tax Law.
A recognized receipt for tax purposes will be sent immediately upon receipt of the donation.

Until recently, PEF did not accept credit card payments and we still do not process credit card payments over the phone or on our website. Recently and in recognition of the explosive growth of e-commerce PEF is now pleased to enable recommended grants via credit card through an online fundraising company called CauseMatch. Participating charities will feature a donate button on their website which will allow donors to make a recommended grant to that charity via a dedicated PEF credit card payment gateway. The gateway is hosted by Stripe which offers specially discounted per transaction processing fees for a 501(c)3 of 2.2% + 30¢ for non-AmEx transactions and 3.5% for AmEx transactions. As always, PEF does not add any fees or handling charges to process these transactions.
