Itzik ben Aharon

Hi, I'm Itzik. Dealing with Parkinson's for about 10 years and at the same time a regular volunteer in a number of places including the Parkinson's Association in Israel, Bells Association and assisting high school students in teaching math and physics in preparation for graduation. The attached photo proves it.

I have always been involved in developing and empowering people, both in my past as a senior manager in a large organization and today, in all the volunteering I do. I believe that people are the most important resource and asset in any organization or society in which we live.

In my opinion, the process of accompanying new contestants really helps the contestants get to know the disease and learn how to deal with it. The escort is a safe place for the new contestants to ask, debate and think together. I see the mentoring process as valuable and meaningful both for the new contestant and for the mentor.

I believe that the contestant should take "command" of most of the influencing factors in the disease. I do a lot of sports and I am sure that this is the best medicine in dealing with Parkinson's.
