An explanation of the different classes to choose from
Pilates training (controllogy) is a practice method for controlling and harmonizing the mind and spirit, which helps the body to be balanced, in a correct posture, with correct mobility while using the body's energy correctly.
The method challenges the body and lifts the mood and above all - improves the ability of the trainees to function on a daily basis!
The principles of the method are precisely suited to the movement needs of those dealing with Parkinson's, who need balanced, controlled and synchronized movement with breathing, and in full ranges.
The method combines breathing control, coordination between body systems, concentration, movement control, movement flow and physical element. All of these drain to allow movement and flexibility even in day-to-day functioning.
My name is Naama Ezra, I have a bachelor's degree in occupational therapy, from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
Rehabilitative Pilates instructor/ for the elderly.
She has a lot of experience in neurological rehabilitation and in situations of functional decline.
I took part in the establishment of the rehabilitation program of "Ezra La Marfa" in the project of rehabilitation of Parkinson's patients, under the guidance of groups in occupational therapy.
Today she works in a rehabilitation center, in home rehabilitation and in private settings in neurological rehabilitation, in occupational therapy or rehabilitation Pilates training. He also teaches Pilates groups for seniors.
The combination of occupational therapy and pilates allows for the use of movement variety to improve daily functions and is an important element in enriching the daily routine and disease management.
Closed group lessons:
The method challenges the body and elevates the mood, and most importantly - improves the ability of the trainees to function effectively on a daily basis.
In a regular group, we can go through a process of conscious and unconscious motor learning. For the sake of motor learning, many and consistent repetitions are necessary.
Learning to control movement and increase physical awareness requires regular and evolving training.
Above all, in the regular and intimate group we can refer to the elements of daily functioning in each class and learn movement that facilitates functioning.
Around the world, the treatment of movement and dance has become one of the prominent methods for alleviating the symptoms of Parkinson's disease.
With the help of Latin and ballroom dances, we focus on both motor skills such as posture, balance and flexibility as well as cognitive and communication skills such as memory, coordination and use of body language.
In the group setting, we will offer the participants to enjoy essential movement, maximize physical abilities and focus on the positive rather than the negative.
My name is Roni Peled and I handle traffic:
BA in Behavioral Science and MA in Movement Therapy (Lesley University).
For many years I worked as a ballroom and Latin dance teacher.
For the past ten years I have been working with people dealing with Parkinson's and combining the two fields together.
Today I coordinate the field of movement therapy for Parkinson's at the Ichilov Hospital, in addition to an independent framework that offers several private groups in the central area.

Physiotherapy for people with Parkinson's
Movement is a central treatment in dealing with Parkinson's disease. This is exactly the reason to join us for group practice regularly.
The practice will focus each time on several important elements: flexibility, balance, muscle strength, combination of movements, specific movements for those diagnosed with Parkinson's, relaxation and stretching.
To offer variety, in each workout we use exercise equipment such as: a stick, a ball, a mat for practicing on the floor, weights, etc. If you do not have the required equipment, alternative exercises will be offered without accessories.

Fitness Training?? I am.. ?"
It's true, it's not always easy to exercise when you have Parkinson's, although we are all aware of the close and proven connection between improving fitness through regular and appropriate physical activity and reducing the signs of the disease and improving daily functioning. In training, we will learn together and practice effective, simple and fun fitness exercises with techniques specially adapted for Parkinson's patients at all levels, and which can be performed by yourself in your home environment. As part of the training, we will combine strength exercises to strengthen the muscles, balance, aerobic fitness, flexibility and posture and help to improve the stability and mobility of the body. The training will be carried out by different facilitators and will include practice accessories such as a pillow, rubber band, weights, ball and more.
